JOURNAL A5 - CAMBRIDGE IMPRINT PEGGY ANGUS OAK LEAVES
Journal with plain pages. 240 sides of 110 gsm smooth ivory paper.
The decorated paper used on the covers is an inspired edition from the sensitive and artistic hand of Cambridge Imprint, of a pattern once worked by Peggy Angus. Peggy was an unstoppable C20th artist and educator, creating wall papers and tiles with enormous verve. Her biographer Carolyn Trant writes that she was always on the lookout for patterns.
“Professing not to be interested in the concept of ‘personal genius’ she freely appropriated ideas and designs remorselessly from a wide variety of sources including her own children, school children and apprentices, but she also distilled them into a very personal brew. “Carolyn Trant: Art for Life. The Story of Peggy Angus.
I consider that this is precisely what Cambridge Imprint have done: distilled the genius of Peggy’s designs into their own personal brew. These papers are fresh and full of life.
You can buy all the Peggy Angus designs from Cambridge Imprint here, not to mention their many other beautiful papers and products.
